Accessing a users mailbox to archive - not working

[Confused]

Hi,

I have given myself full rights to access a ex-employees mailbox, added the
mailbox within Outlook. When I attempt to view the mailbox I get an error
message stating "unable to display folder". I can access the users mailbox
via web mail and all AD attributes look ok. Why can I not access the users
mailbox via outlook?
