Accessing datasource or owner property through VBA

I'm not bad with Excel VBA but I'm new to Visio VBA. There were a lot of
examples in the docs and on the web for Network Diagrams, but I'm trying to
manipulate the owner and datasource properties of a table in an ER diagram.
Does anybody have a bit of example code or a link to get me started. Tried
the shapesheet window, didn't see either of there properties.

ADO would be strong tool to access database from Visio or other Office
applications.

the data modeling solution is a closed add-on and doesn't have a published
interface,
