Accessing Project Server 2007s PWA from a workstation

When I connect to the PWA from the Project Server there is no
connectivity issue; however, when the attempt is made from a
workstation, after the request for the credentials for accessing the
PWA, I receive an unexpected error page with no explanation. The
authentication being used is Windows and this is a non-Active Directory
installation.

I must be missing something!

Does this mean that you cannot access, over the LAN, the PWA by
entering the Project Server's local user credentials as you could in
Project Server 2003?

If everything is on one server, and you create local Windows accounts for
the users on the server itself with permissions to logon locally, then maybe
it will work, but I haven't tried it.

I have entered the users into the local users and have given them
enough access to log onto the server itself.

The users seem to be authenticated and PWA pops up an error indicating
that an unexpected error has occurred and no other details. This is
becoming exasperating!

I have validated what Gary has said below: this was done on a single server
and a local machine logon.

James,
Is your configuration a single server configuration?
Can you post an error screenshot? or send one to my e-mail address?

Was this ever resolved? We are having the exact same error accessing PWA
after a successful Project Server 2007 install. The ID that did the install
gets "Unexpected Error" when trying to access, and all other users get
credentials errors (which I understand since the initial ID can;t log into
PWA to set them up for access). Any word on if Willy Isaac's suggestion
worked? I have seen him suggest that on several posts here, but not seen any
feedback to see if that fixed the problem.
