Accessing shared .pst from multiple LAN clients

How do I stop duplicate emails being downloaded from a POP3 account when the following conditions exist
1. Employees have and use their profiles on multiple computers.
2. A single Data Store for each employee resides on our server
3. I need to "leave a copy of messages on the server", so email can be accessed from the web

Thanks for the help.

#1 is the problem. The details of what messages already have been downloaded
are stored with each profile and will be diffrerent for each profile.

Does your mail server support IMAP? That would use local .pst files, but
would solve the duplicate problem.
