Accidental Contact Deletion

Hi, I accidentally deleted a whole bunch of contacts. While I was able
to go into deleted items and recover, I had a couple questions
regarding this experience:

1. Any way to enable Outlook to prompt for dialog box when one deletes
a contact?

2. Any way to know in "Deleted Items" which are the recently deleted
items since I may have deleted other contacts few months back which
also show up there. Couldn't find any field in the field chooser which
seemed to do this.

The Modified date is probably your best bet. Things you deleted a while
back should have an older modified dated that things you recently deleted.
The modified date should reflect the date and time at which the item was
moved to the Deleted Items folder.

Additionally, the deleted items folder is trash - there is a reason the icon
is a wastebasket. How often do you empty your trash at home? Do you keep
your lunch in the wastebasket?

Empty the deleted items folder upon closing Outlook. If you want to mull
over whether to keep something or not, create a folder called pending
deletion and move things there. The deleted items folder is trash and
should be taken out every night.
