Accidentally clicked Remove on an Attachment

I had opened an email message that someone sent me. In the message was
an attachment displayed right below the subject line. I right clicked
on it and tried to click on "save as". However, instead I accidentally
clicked on Remove. Much to my surprise it has now deleted the
attachment! I have not closed Outlook yet for fear it will disappear
forever. I tried to right click again but there is no option to undo
or view attachment either from within the message or in my inbox. I
found some info about the Temporary folder that Outlook stores
images , attachments, etc.. and when I looked inside that folder it
did not have the attachment in there. I tried my best to "google" this
issue but I have come up with nothing please help me.

I am posting this reply in case anyone else has the same issue. If you
close the message Outlook will ask you if you want to save the
changes, Click NO. Then exit from Outlook and when you open it back up
the message will reappear. Well, at least it did in my situation.

Good Luck!

it will always reappear unless you click save... the changes are not saved
automatically

I do this all the time -- why did MS put 'Remove' right next to 'Save as'?!
and with no double-check prompt?! -- and, in my configuration of Outlook
2002, even if I click NO, do not save changes, the attachment will NOT
reappear when I reopen the email.

So, are there any other thoughts on how to recover an accidentally removed
attachment? Where does it go?

Thanks,
Daisy
