Accidentally deleted inbox subfolder

I'm using Outlook 2003 and have accidentally deleted an email subfolder.
Does its contents end up in the deleted items folder and if so can I recover
the items deleted from there?

Anything you delete in Outlook gets moved to the Deleted Items Folder.

...unless you hard delete it (shift + del) in which case it bypasses the
deleted items folder....
