accidentaly removed office program from computer

Yesterday after a crash in excel, i was advised by microsoft to update my
office program, which I have not done, ever. I bought my computer used with
no installation software. After the download (4 hours) the computer asks for
a disk associated with the original installation, since I don't have this i
figured that i would cancel the install and work around my problems. After
shutting down for the night, i tried to open an excel file and computer asks
for the disk again. I figured that now i needed to remove the update. While
on the phone, two children needing attention and honestly needing to pay much
more attention than i was i accidentaly removed microsoft office with
frontpage from my computer instead of microsoft office update which was
directly below it. I have tried the unerase wizard in my recycle bin and
recovered everything that was trashed today, but don't know where all of that
went and apparantly still did no good in un-removing the program.
My question finally is, is there any way to get this back and if not what is
my next step. If i need to purchase and install new software what would be
the best options for a home user that uses the computer for business and
personal (games, digital photos, etc.) use. I have ALOT of office files
that are worthless now and would really appreciate anyone who could get me
through this mess.
Thank you in advance for any assistance.

eBay.
Without the original install CD, your version of Office may well be illegal.

tjr,
As posted you can try ebay, however, if you want a version that will be
legally yours, you can purchase a copy of Office 2003 at retail which is the
latest version. Retail copies can vary in price depenendant on where you shop.
Here is a comparison chart of Office 2003 versions:
http://www.microsoft.com/office/editions/howtobuy/compare.mspx
Office 2003 should be able to open any existing files from previous versions
with the exception being Access.
