I was trying to re-order the folder, now I a gray blank screen and the
following error message:
Unable to diplay folder. Order by Item must appear in the select list if
SELECT DISTINCT is specified.
IRIS: 1005 ContactMAPIView.

How can I get back in there to change it?

It seems like a had a temporary speach imparement. I talked about Account,
not Accounts which is the main company information in the main folder for
BCM.

I just downloaded SP2 and even though I got error messages when installing
SP2, it seems to have fixed the problem. I now have access again to my
accounts folder and all my data is back. Needless to say, I made an immediate
back up of the files. It seems there was a bug in the previous version and it
now has been fixed.

One poblem I have been aware of for a long time, is that unfortunately, BCM
is not an integral part of outlook and therefore has same inherant problems.
Outlook should have been designed to have company (translating into
acccounts) and contacts which belong to these accounts. It should not be to
seperate programs. But unfortunately we have to deal with these difficencies.
But it is better than what we had before.

Installing SP2 has fixed the problem that I had and I have my data back. I
have a reminder in outlook to back up the business manager, and I bypassed it
for too many times. If I had not receovered the data, I would have lost a lot
of info.

At this point can only suggest to do your backups on a regular basis. It is
too valuable to loose. Install SP2. Take my advise an do your backups
regularly.
I got lucky and I was able to recover my data.
Happy to have been able to got everything back
Back up your data!!! I will from now on.

Anne

I do think it is a bug, at least in SP1. Resorting something wrong, one
wrong sorting process should disable getting acess to the folder again.
Install SP2, it seems to make a difference.
Install SP2 to avoid future problems, but do your backups weekly, to
minimize data loss.
