Account used to send

I have several accounts configured in Outlook 2003 including:

1 IMAP account
1 Exchange account

I have removed all accounts except the IMAP account from send/receive
groups, yet sometimes new email still wants to initially go out via the
Exchange account.

How do I prevent this so that only the IMAP account is ever used to send
email?
