I am sorry but I do not understand your question.

Can you please define what you mean by:

(a) Accountable resource - What does this mean?

(b) Project - Is this an MS Project file?

(c) Multiple resources - Is this per MS Project file or per task?

(d) Customize a text field field for doing what?

hi Rick Roszko,

Yeah im telling about MS-project file only.Accountable resource means a
single resource that replaces multiple resources..for instance consider a
manager to be a accountable resource who managaes developer tester QA person
and other roles too.instead of using all these resource name we use Manager's
name.for this can i use a customised filed.that is what i meant

Hi Rick,

Welcome to this Microsoft Project newsgroup :)

Project allows you to assign a single resource by name like "Fred" or a
group of resources like "Carpenters". You cannot assign an individual who
is also in the group. For example, if Fred is one of the carpenters, you
cannot assign Fred as an individual. It's either a group or individuals.

FAQs, companion products and other useful Project information can be seen at
this web address: http://project.mvps.org/faqs.htm

Hope this helps - please let us know how you get on :)

My project requires work by many teams. Instead of adding and assigning tasks
to and managing updates from individual members of work teams, I want to
assign one task to the team's lead and let that person manage the task
details, work assignments, and status reports. Can I use such a accountable
resource there in my plan? Can I take a text field and customize it.this is
what I meant.
