As I tell many prospective clients (to my own financial detriment),
Quickbooks, Simply Accounting, and many others are already available,
affordable, and flexible enough for almost all users, so why would you want
to spend hundreds of hours and thousands of dollars developing a custom
system?
That said, there is a commercial Access based business accounting system
that you can purchase and modify forms/reports/code as necessary.
