Accounting format

Hi,

I have completed a spreadsheet in accounting format. For transaction that
need to be deducted I have entered an '-' thinking that it would be
subtracted in the total which is the sum of all the rows, however this does
not happen - Double the number is deducted. Does anybody know what change I
would need to make to get this working??

To have it 'double-deducted' sounds like you have an incorrect formula,
something like the amounts to be subtracted are sub-totalled, and the
grand total is calculated subtracting the amounts AND the subtotal.

Any further clues?

isn't there the deductable amount with + as well?
