ACT! grouping to BCM

I just bought a new computer with Vista and my ACT 5.0 will not work. I want
to switch over to BCM and it looks like everything I use will work except one
thing.

I have about 14 groups in ACT. I often look at these different groups.
i.e. if I need to contact a full color printer I get the Full Color Printer
group and then I can see all my full color printers.

Will these transfer and if yes how do I view them in BCM...I could not see
any group options except for how you normally would do in outlook but they
are not all together they are just random throughout the contacts.

Thanks!!!!

Hi
I use to use ACT 6 for several years before changing to BCM 2007, here's
what I found works for me with grouping.
while it's not the same as ACT, you can use the Contact Rating dropdown box,
or the Area of interest dropdown box to add additional groupings to your
contacts.
Edit the dropdown list to suit.
Go to View - current view - define views. the current view organizer should
be displayed.
You can either edit an existing view or create your own.
highlight which one you want, then click on modify, you can then change
fields, group by, sort etc.
the group names you have created in the dropdown boxes come into play using
the Filter button.
Click on filter - advanced - fields, go to user defined fields and click on
area of interest or rating (whichever one you propose to use, I prefer
Rating) that will then populate the first to criteria boxes.
In the last box (value) put the group name (case sensitive) you want, then
press add to list, this will appear in the top criteria box.
click ok for all, then try it with one of your contacts and ajust as
neccessary.
While you cant modify BCM to the exent you can with ACT, it works for me.
