ACT! Replacement

I need to find an Outlook add-in or tool(s) to replace ACT! I'd be more
specific, but since I've never used ACT! I don't know just what to ask for.

I have a user that wants to install ACT! but if possible, we in IT would
prefer to remain all MS.

I'm not looking for pro-ACT! arguments, or to start any sort of argument at
all, just need a direction to start my search in. I'd appreciate any
helpful comments.

Perhaps more info would be of use:
We're using Outlook 2003 against Exchange 2003 server.

Someone might be tempted to recommend Business Contact Manager, which is
part of Office 2003 SBE (and SBS I think). This is ACT!-like, but I have
been using it for a year now and cannot recommend it. You will probably have
more problems with this than ACT!. You have been warned.

Cheers, Thorbjorn

I'll echo the warning and suggest you look into some of the standalone
programs listed at http://www.slipstick.com/addins/contact_management.htm

I think you also should ask the user to make a list of the top 10 features
in ACT! that they can't live without. Compromises may be necessary, but you
don't want to kill their productivity.

Thanks to both of you for your comments. I'd heard that BCM was trouble;
I'll look into it just so that I can show the boss that I've not overlooked
it, but will keep in mind what you've said.

Already printed out an ACT! sales ppt and asked the user to mark what
features he was looking to use.

Thanks again for your help. Much appreciated.
