activating a trial download of office standard edition 2003

processed at this time please try again in a few minutes' i have repeatedly
tried this but always get the same answer. I have tried re installing the
download, it seems to freeze up and never get to the end but the icons appear
in my programs list and I can open for example 'word' which starts off the
activationa wizard and then the above happens each time. I am just going
round in circles !!!
