Active User Count

I have a javascript to count active users visiting an asp page in my site.
The script requires me to put it into the global.asa file . My global.asa
file has the frontpage generated database connections in it . I have tested
my script witout the database connections in it and it woks fine; but with
both routines ; I get database errors. Can you add a script to the global.asa
file in frontpage; and/or can you incorporate custom code into the global.asa
that frontpage generates.
