Active Workspace Problem in Groove 2007

I asked this question twice before around 3 months ago but now the question
has been buried and the problem still exists so I'm trying once again hoping
that a solution has been discovered.

Problem Computer - http://comp.uark.edu/~adlofto/ss/problemcomputer.gif
Working Computer - http://comp.uark.edu/~adlofto/ss/workingcomputer.gif

As you see from the screenshots, one computer shows as active with the
Folder Sync button and groove synchronization taskbar on the left where as
the other one does not.

The workspaces still sync files correctly and all computers can tell when
each other are active however the problem computer never lists itself as
active. I was guessing it was in the same problem domain as the folder sync
button.

The problem computer use to work and had these folder sync buttons before
but recently they just disappeared. There was something that happened the
other day and the computer was forcibly shut down due to environmental
variables. Thinking that the groove workspace somehow came corrupt because
it is always running I tried to uninstall and reinstall but that did not fix
as well. I'm thinking that somehow all of Groove/Office was not deleted.

This is why I asked for maybe a way to completely wipe the office
installation/groove installation from the harddrive.

Solutions I have tried so far include:

"To completely remove all of Groove's data and start fresh, run this
procedure:

- Exit Groove completely (rightclick the systray icon and click "Exit")
- Make sure there are no Groove processes running (check for GROOVE.EXE in
the processes tab of Task Manager)
- Open a commandprompt and go to C:\Program Files\Microsoft
Office\Office12
- type:
grooveclean.exe -all
- startup Groove and reconfigure your account
"

and this problem still exists.

I'm giving as much information as possible because it seems when someone
replies that no one answers anymore. Please again let me know if there is
any solution available besides formatting the PC.

Thanks for your support!

Ok I've found the solution. It seemed that Internet Explorer was blocking
the ActiveX control for Groove. If you manage your add-ons for Internet
Explorer and enable groove, it get this problem fixed. Hope this helps
someone.
