ActiveSync + Cached Exchange Mode - inbox deletes broken in OL2003 GM

Greetings,

I just installed the MSDN GM release of Office 2003 (11.5608.5606). Since
then,
deletes on the Outlook Inbox are not cascading to the PocketPC. ActiveSync
is v3.7, build 3083. It only fails in Cached Exchange mode - when I switch
to uncached, deleting Inbox items immediately syncs the delete to the
device.

I noticed it because my junk mail was being properly zapped from the Inbox,
but was piling up on the PocketPC. Neither manual deletes and rule-based
deletes aren't syncing in Cached mode.

More detail:

- worked fine in earlier 2003 beta (beta 2, tech refresh) releases
- Activesync mode set to sync-continuously
- "additions" to Inbox (new mail, dragged items) trigger a sync just as
expected
- full sync (remove/insert PocketPC in cradle) clears out the items on the
PocketPC as expected
- did full uninstall of Office 2003, ActiveSync, Visual Studio 03, FrontPage
2003, and Visio, rebooted, then reinstalled Office 2003 and ActiveSync 3.7 -
same behavior.
- same symptoms on multiple PocketPCs, also on other users' desktops/ppcs
- deleted/rebuilt the OUTLOOK.OST file

Any ideas?
