ActiveX-Control Restrictions and Workarounds

Does anyone knows what functionality will be reduced for PWA-users in Project
Server 2007 if ActiveX-Controls are not allowed?

To be more specific:
How can I do resource planning without accessing the resource center?
How can I have an overview of serveral projects including key indicators
without accessing project center or data analysis views?

Is there any difference to Project Server 2003 and where can I find more
documentation about this?

Best regards,

Rayk,

Resource planning could be done within the Project Professional client. I
think you should also be able to work with resource plans as well as
activities without the ActiveX controls, although I'm not sure.

When it comes to getting an overview over projects, things look a little
different. Project Center will obviously not work without the ActiveX
controls, however Data Analysis (OLAP) only requires Office Web Components
without ActiveX. This is the solution I could think of right now. Of course
there's other possiblities such as generating reports through SQL Reporting
Services, but I would say this is more advanced...

Hope this helps...
