ActiveX for PWA

Hi. We have Project Server 2003 with SP1. Our organisation runs a
strict security set up which means the majority of staff, you are not
local admins, can not access PWA due to the need for ActiveX downloads.

The activeX bundle on Microsoft.com says it will not work for MSPS2003
with SP1 and above. Does anyone anywhere know where those necessary
ActiveX components are available for SP1 users?

It's logistically really time-consuming to have our tech server logon
to each machine locally as admin to download the data, so I was hoping
there is a way to get it off the web and just put it remotely onto each
person's pc.

Thanks.

Hi Wegz,
the Active X Controls for Project Web Access are stored in the <root
directory>\Windows\Downloaded Program Files. They are called:
Pj11enuC Class
PjAdoInfo3 Class

Copy these two files from a PC were web access works and the remotely dump
them into the above folder on each user's PC.

Hi, Thanks NASCOTech.

I have located the files, they are the Pj11enuC Class and the
PjAdoInfo3 Class. When i go to copy them, it wont allow me. I have our
tech support officer looking into it, but it seams he cant copy them
either.

Is there a special process to copy these files, or is it just meant to
be a simply Copy...Paste Job??

Matt
