Every time I open Word or Excel 2003 I ger an irratating
message about initialising activeX controls. It asks me
to press "YES"OR "NO". If I accept the activeX control
all is well. However, if I select no then I get another
message "Can't exit design mode because
control 'NavNLUOCXI' can not be created". What does it
mean? How can I get rid of it?

Disable any plug ins for Norton Antivirus, if you have that installed. Also
do a detect and repair from the Help Menu of the respective Office
applications you mentioned or re-run Setup for Office 2003, and do a Repair.
Check for updates for Internet Explorer.
