ActiveX Warnings and Submission Forms

I'm making a web page with FrontPage2000 that has a submission form o
it.
When I preview it in the browser I get the ActiveX warning when th
page loads. I'm sure it's from the "Submit" button code.
I see plenty of web pages with submission forms all over the web, an
NONE of them trigger the AcitiveX warning. Is there a way to write i
to prevent this? Are they using Java or some other code for the forms
if so, where can I get some info on how to do it?

It's just a simple form.... I didn't think it had to be so complicated

Do you get the same warning when you browse the page on your live site?

If you are using any JavaScript Validation, then this would generate the warning message when
viewing the page in IE under Windows XP SP2 via a disk-based location (C:\...)

So, if I am understanding you correctly, if I make a submission for
using the FrontPage form tools (Insert - Form - ect, ect,) it wil
trigger the warning as long as it's loading from the C drive, but onc
I upload it to the web host it won't trigger the warning when a visito
opens the page?

As I'm sure you can tell, I'm a newbie to all this

And Kathleen... I don't know about the warning on the live website.
haven't completed it yet. I'm trying to be proactive and preven
problems before they happen.... probobly a hopeless cause, but I'
trying anyway

Correct - Visitors to your web site will not see that error.

You can view the page using http://localhost/pagename.htm without that error
if you are editing a server based web running on IIS. (requires Windows XP
Pro, IIS and FPextensions installed)
