Actual Hours Appear in Timesheet without Being Entered by Resource

When resources create their timesheets actual hours are appearing in some instances. When viewing the MS Project file the actual hours appear there as well. The planned hours match the actual hours into the future. The PMs do not apply actuals in MSP - only through the timesheets. Any ideas on why this is happening?

This is a recurring bug that was fixed in the December Cumulative Update.
Is your organization current with the latest Service Pack (SP2) and the
latest Cumulative Update (either December 2009 or the latest February 2010
CU). If not, I recommend you get your system up to date, which should
resolve this issue.

The fact that you say that the planned hours match the hours put into the
future, this sounds more like your project managers changing the status of
tasks in the project plan, rather than as a result of the bug that was fixed
in the Dec CU. I say that only because the but did not put matching hours
into actuals. Quite the contrary, it inserts strange decimal values into
future actuals. Understand that Project Managers should not be updating
tasks status manually when you're using a time collections system to do
this.
