Actual hours being averaged over adjacent days

Hi all,
we have had an issue ever since rolling out project server 2007. We
are seeing that actual hours entered by my tasks are being changed.
The total number of hours is correct but it seems to average them over
adjacent days. This is very confusing for users who will see strange
numbers in their "my tasks" display. Eg they entering 5h, 6h, 2h for
subsequent days but it will be changed to strange numbers like 8.037.
We really need to get to the bottom of this. Anything causing actual
hours to change seems to me to be compromising the integrity of all
project data.

Thanks!

Caroline

There are/were a number of issues that could cause this, many of which have
been fixed in updates this year. What patch level is your system at. You
really should be patched through the December Cumulative Update at this
point.

Are people that have installed the December cumulative update finding
it to be a complete fix for this problem or only a partial fix?

We only just installed the infrastructure update, we haven't installed
any of the monthly patches beyond that.

According to the KB for the December CU, one of the issues that affects
actual work was fixed. There are issues beyond this that remain unfixed.
