We use MSproject 2002 & Project Server (SP1) and we have
an out of sync within our project plan and the
Portfolio Analyzer because of missing time in the Resource
Usage view. Actual hours appear in the approved timesheet
and the Gantt view of the .published, however are missing
when viewing in the Resource Usage view in the .published.
Hours from PWA were updated, validated and accepted by the
PM. Few weeks later, the PM opens up the project plan,
goes to the Resource Usage view. Hours are still in PWA,
hours are still showing up at the task level in the actual
work field but are not showing up in the Resource Usage
view.
Because of this, total hours from project plan in MSPro
and total hours in the Olap cube don't match.
Any idea why this is happening and how it can be fixed?
Solutions submitted so far (in the "thanx but no thanx
category"):
1) re-enter the hours (that don't fix the root cause, only
patches up the prob)
