If your methodology for tracking progress is to ask team members to fill in
their Actual Work hours in the timesheet (the right-hand portion of the My
Tasks page), then each team member can add a line for Actual Overtime Work
to their timesheet. They can do this by clicking the View Options tab and
selecting the "Show Overtime Work" option. When they do so, they will have
two lines for entering their actuals: Actual Work and Actual Overtime Work.
If your team members are entering their actual work values in the Actual
Work column in the left-hand portion of the View My Tasks page, then you
will need to "push" the Actual Overtime Work column to them in Project 2002.
To do so, complete the following steps:
1. Open the project in question in which overtime is needed
2. Click Tools - Customize - Published fields
3. Select the Actual Overtime Work field on the left and copy it to the
right
4. Click OK
5. Click Collaborate - Publish - Republish Assignments
6. Click OK
Will one of these methods help you? Let me know.
