Actual Work in future time-periods...

JIM

Hi there!

We've a serious issues with Actual Work in future time-periods...

Our setting is MS Project Server 2007, SP2, April CUP. The "Actual Work"
lock is activated (the option that should protect the Actual Work). Actual
Work is reported within "My Tasks".

We've double checked the situation, and the reported Actual Work. We've also
checked the transaction protocol of "My Tasks". The users have definetly
sumbittet in the past. A rule has automatically accepted this data and
approved the transfer to the project plan. However, now some of the Actual
Work is shown in future...

Any ideas? Is this a known issue?

Thx,
Jim

Jim:

Yes, this is a known issue as SP2 re-surfaced some problems that were fixed
previously. This has to do with work being reported on non-working days,
particularly when the actual start is on a non-working day. My best advice
to you is to stay current with the CUs. The most recent is August and I hope
that by the time Oct releases that we'll see everything fixed. Note, that if
you use Timesheets, the actual work record in the timesheet tables is not
affected.
