actual work timesheet

hi..

I need to have actual work updated by individual team member thru' PWA.
After team members update the actual work in PWA, I as project manager could
see their updated actual work in PWA. When I open the project file with MPP,
I could get the "task update" screen which display the actual work of team
member.

But I cannot get the updated actual work in MPP file which I retrieve from
project server.

What could be wrong?

What version of Project Server are you using? 2002, 2003, or 2007? Also,
what is your current level of Service Packs and hotfixes applied to your
system? Without this information, I'm not sure we can be of much help. Let
us know and we will try to help you.

I'm using MS project 2007, not sure about Service Packs and hotfixes. how to
check it?

Now I could get the actual work, after to submit task and import timesheet.
after import it accumulate % and updated timesheet. Strange.

Can update actual work time sheet without subit task and import timesheet?

You will need to ask your Project Server administrator about the current
state of services packs and hotfixes on your Project Server 2007 instance.
SP1 fixed the problem you are describing. To be absolutely current with
updates, your Project Server admininstrator should do the following in this
order:

1. Install Service Pack 1 (SP1).
2. Install the Infrastructure Update.
3. Install the August 2008 Cumulative Update.

Please note that there are separate files for updating Windows SharePoint
Services, Project Server 2007, and Microsoft Project Professional 2007.

To answer your last question, if your organization needs to use the My
Timesheet functionality, then your users will have to import their My
Timesheet information into the My Tasks page, and then submit the updates to
the project manager. Hope this helps.
