Actuals in Professional and Web Access differ

Hi.

In my case some of the projects are underway and some tasks are completed.
These are marked 100% complete in MSP (and the actuals for remaining tasks
are keyed in WA later on) . When I publish these complete tasks/assignments
to WA their actual work is shown in project and task views but is not present
in resource assignments. The remedy is to republish and check Overwrite
actuals.

My question : Is this the only and correct procedure ?

If you enter actuals in the Microsoft Project plan, then yes, you must click
Collaborate - Publish - Republish Assignments and select the "Overwrite
actual work entered by resources" option to "push" the actuals to each
user's timesheet in PWA. This is the correct procedure. Hope this helps.
