AD sync & custom field (lookup table) values in 2007

Adding a new field in AD, like location (for the resources of course), do I
need to have those values included in the pick list of the LOOKUP TABLE prior
to adding the field in AD & prior to the sync?

custom AD attributes do not get sync'd into Project Server unless you have
created a custom event handler, in which case, if you're using lookup tables
then the values need to be populated into the lookup table.
