Add a calendar to the other calendars list

How do I add a calendar to the other calendars or my calendars list on the
navigation pane? I tried using the File/Open/Other Users Folder commands and
it did open the calendar but it didn't add it to the list? I also tried the
normal Open a shared Calendar command and nothing? Is their a limit to how
many calendars can stay on the list?
