Add a repeating table without a zillion controls?

Using an existing data source, when I add a repeating table, InfoPath seems
determined to add controls for all of the contained fields. how can I add a
repeating table that contains controls for only some, not all, of the data
fields in the bound group? (I notice that the Asset Tracking example has
repeating table where not all of the contained fields are represented by a
control.) Is it necessary to go through the form and delete the unwanted
fields, or is there a simpler method?

Thanks,

Keith

Not directly. The easiest way is to let it do its thing, then use "Change
Binding" on the repeating table's context menu. Choose the repeating group,
then you'll get a chance to select just the fields you're interested in.

After you added the section, Repeating section properties/Default settings
modify/Edit default values/ and select the fields you want to be added
