Add alarms reminders to OneNote to pop-up on desktop

Allowing a reminder notice to pop-up on your desktop using OneNote would be
beneficial for meetings, appointments and reminders without opening an office
program. Many times Outlook may be closed an unopen for several hours.

It would also be a very effective selling point

Usually, some sort of program needs to be running in the background (such as
Outlook) for such functionality. If you don't want to run Outlook all the
time, perhaps some of the smaller freeware programs would appeal to you:
http://www.freedownloadscenter.com/Best/reminder-alarm.html has numerous
small ones. I don't recommend one, because I use Outlook, which, unlike
OneNote, is designed to be a personal information manager.
