Add editBox to Ribbon to enter password

Can an editBox added to the Ribbon be made to only show dots? I would
like to add 2 editBoxes to the Ribbon to log in to a webservice but I
don't want the password displayed in plain text. If not, can I create
my own editBox and how would I do that?

You can probably get the control to end displaying only dots, but what
the user types will probably be visible for at least a moment. And no,
you can't create your own controls and use them in the Ribbon.

The recommended alternative is to present such controls in a custom task
pane, or in a form.
