add html code to a hyperlink

Is it possible to add html code to a ppt hyperlink (e.g. open in new window)
that works correctly when ppt is saved as a web page?

1) save the presentation as a web page
2) open the slide you want to work on in NotePad
(you'll have to switch to all files instead of txt)
3) find the link you want to change
4) change _parent to _blank
This way your link will open in a new window.
Hope this helps!!!

So to confirm, I can edit the code after ppt is saved as a webpage but cannot
save it within the ppt version. This means that as the ppt version it is
edited then resaved as a webpage I will need to reedit the link?

As well, I assume I can edit any links with any html?

fyi: I am experimenting with uploading content to lessons in an LMS and
allowing others providing content to use ppt or Word for simplicity.

That's correct as far as I know.
I'd use NotePad rather than something like FrontPage or Dreamweaver to edit
the files, that way no additional/extra coding will appear.
