add in button displayed in outlook

Hello.

I have an addin application that is to display an extra button in every
office program. This does not work properly in outlook...

When I debug the startup of outlook I see that my addin recognizes the
program running as word... Do you know why this happens?

hey neoret,

I think this is because outlook uses word as default email editor. thats why
word is automatically started.

You can use, Application.Name = "Microsoft.Outlook" to distinguish
outlook.
still, let the experienced people comment on it.

Outlook doesn't like shared addins. I write combined Excel/Word/PPT addins
but always separate Outlook addins.
