Add-In for Excel

I am just in the process of putting Office X out in the lab
(yes I know I am a bit behind the times).

I copy the default installation across as well as the
"Analysis Tools" addins to the "Microsoft Office
X/Office/Add-Ins" folder.

It all works fine for the Administrator and for other users
but everything is writable by everyone. So I changed the
privileges to be read only for others on the "Microsoft
Office X" folder and the the Analysis Tools no longer load
for a normal user (they still work for admin). The weird
thing is that even if I change access back to giving
everyone write privileges it still wont work for a normal user.

Anyone have any idea ?

I don't have any problems running the Analysis Toolpak (ATP) with read-only
access. However, the user running the add-ins needs to have write access to
their Preferences folder to keep track of which add-ins are to be loaded on
launching Excel.
