I went to the office 2007 overveiw page I clicked get the beta I entered in
the required information and I checked the boxes of which the progams I
wanted to install I think I was Groove Infopath and office 2007 (which
includes word, exel, and outlook. I clicked next then it sent me an e-mail with
a list of downloads I did the main office download first followed by groove
then infopath. I downloaded them all onto Windows XP sp2 using my Dsl-WIFI
connection. It took 2 1/2 to 3 hours to download. On the installation window
I followed the on-screen intructions it all installed just fine exept the
fact I had both office 2003 and 2007 on my computer. Then I uninstalled
office 2003 I used Microsoft word for a couple of documents then exel for one
spredsheet and they both work just fine.

Thanks

Then you did not install clean at all.
Also, what you claim is not possible. If you had installed the beta, any
previous version would be removed.
We'll need a more accurate account of what you did.

I had office 2003 student and teacher but for some reason I had both the
beta
and 2003 on my computer without moving anything I uninstalled office
2003
when I started the beta I didnt have any contacts whatsoever on my
computer
and I did run office diagnostics but it sayed there was nothing wrong
with
the beta program
--
Thanks

:

I don't think you understand. Are you saying you had no Contacts
whatsoever
and no previous version of Outlook before you installed the beta?
Have you run Office Diagnostics?

I configured it though the internet and I didnt move the data I
started
out
from scratch

:

I already told you:
How you moved your Outlook data and configured the beta
installation
to
use
it.

I installed it clean the recommended installation

:

PS "Downloading" does not tell us how you installed the
beta.
You
need
to
specify if this was a clean installation (recommended) or
an
update
of
a
functioning version (not recommended).

I get an error message when I try adding a contact to
Microsoft
Office
Outlook 2007 (beta)
The steps I took from begining to end:
I downloaded the beta from microsoft.com I also
downloaded
Microsoft
Office Groove (beta). I went to Outlook then I clicked
on
new
on
the
drop-down menu ont the standard toolbar. I clicked
"contact" I
typed
the
name, phone number, mobile phone number, home address, and
E-mail
address.
After that I clicked "save and close" on the standard
toolbar
then a
message
poped up saying not implemented. nothing else just those
exact
words. I
clicked "ok" and It brought me back to the contact
editor.
I
hop

message has a little more detail than my last one I had
no
idea

When you installed Office 2007, were you advised that Outlook 2003 would be
removed? Was it?
You installed in an update scenario which is not yet working. If you want
the beta to work, you need to install clean. Now that you have gone back and
manually removed Office 2003, nothing will work unless you remove Office
2007, remove Office 2003, then reinstall whichever version you want to use.
