add/play audio files

Trying to add and play-on-click a fairly large wav file (interview content).
I've hyperlinked a graphic on the website to the wav file in a folder but get
a "do you want to save this file" message. What am I doing wrong?

If you are just linking to a .wav file, then when you click on it - it is
doing what you have told your browser to do - either download the file or
play the file (with a program)

It sounds like you might want to embed the file.
