Add Record in 2007

I'm new to Access 2007. Used to 2003.

Running Vista.

I have made a split mdb application. When I open a table on the front, it
will not allow me to add a record. The backend folder has it's
security/permissions set to everyone with full control.

What do I need to change? Thanks.

How are you attempting to add the record? Directly into a table? Query? Form?

Any error messages? Anything about "updateable" showing in the lower left
for the screen? Is the Add New Record "VCR" button grayed out?
