Add template to Choose Drawing Type

I would like to add a new template under File/New/Choose Drawing Type. I
can’t see how to add a new directory under Choose Drawing Type/Category and
then add new templates. Any suggestions are appreciated. I am also trying to
figure out if it is possible to have the new template drawing pages set up
with a company border/title block. I am using Visio 2003.

It is best to use the Visio Publisher Tool for this. It is freely available
with the Visio 2003 SDK download.
If you don't have Visual Studio, or other, to create Windows Installer
files, then you can still use the File Paths under Tools / Options /
Advanced. You need to add the template path for your template folder.

Hi David,

Thanks for your help. I was able to make it work using your second
suggestion. I did find Visio Publisher Tool, but I was too busy to spend time
to see how it works. You know what it's like at work to keep moving after one
problem is solved. When I get time, I will look at it more.
