added sound stops powerpoint

Whan I add a sound file and try to run the presentation with timings, it
stops at the sound slide and won't progress until I click the mouse. Why not?

Have you set it to stop playing after x slides? (Open up custom animation,
then double click on the play effect. Under Stop playing section, select
"After x slides". Put it as 999 so that the sound can play across multiple
slides.
