AddIn slow to load

D

David Thielen

One of our customers is testing various configurations using our AddIn
and they are finding that when they use Office Basic/Word our AddIn
causes it to take an additional 30 seconds for Word to start.

This does not occur elsewhere and does not occur at that customer on
other configurations. (This could also be an O/S issue as it's a
different computer.)

What would cause our AddIn to take longer to load on some
configurations of Word?

thanks - dave

Hello Dave,

The delay load problem may be caused from "Check for publisher's
certificate revocation" option in IE setting.

I have seen this kind of issue reported in the Forum before. The solution
is uncheck the above option. So, we just need to suggest your customer
perform the following steps to resolve the issue,

1. Select Start"Control Panel.
2. Double-click Internet Options.
3. Select the Advanced tab.
4. In the Security section, uncheck the Check for publisher's certificate
revocation option.

Please let me know it helps in that client and have a nice day!
