adding a non-project resource to an issue

We often have external vendors that need to be assigned to issues, but they
are not part of our project server environment. Is there a way to add a name
to an issue for someone who does not have an account? This is just for the
purpose of tracking that the issue belongs to an external resource. they
never login, we just send them a printed copy of the issues list.

Tricia -

The Assigned To field reads active enterprise resources who are
assigned to your plan plus admins. It will not see Local Resources. I
think your only option is to modify the issue list in your site to
include an External Assignment that has a list of names or that allows
text entry.
