adding a ppt file on the end of another

I know it's a simple question, but how do I add two ppt files
together, effectively making one continous one?

You can also use the Insert menu to Insert Slides from Files.

If you find that combining your presentations has problems with 2
templates....then your can link them into a continous presentation....see

You can also insert slides from one presentation into
another by using the insert slides function off the Insert
Menu
