Adding a shopping cart

Hi Randy,

Have you considered PayPal? Depending on your situation it might be worth
looking at:

https://www.paypal.com/

If you need something more robust than that..there's lots of options
(although some may be quite expensive)

One thing to keep in mind is that actual credit card numbers should never be
emailed..that is very unsecured!

I want to add a shopping cart to my existing web pages. I just want it to
capture the purchasing information and email it to me.

Is there samples that I can just copy and paste (and modify) into my
existing web page?

Any help would be appreciated!

First off you can't have Credit Card information emailed to you because that would be bad.

For a Shopping Cart solution I'd recommend www.candypress.com

As for how you get the payments you can use anything you want with it (paypal, etc).

MMMMMM, Candy. ;-)
I wish I'd found that excellent cart before I spent hundreds of bucks and
hours on the other ones!

My business is already set up for credit cards, (Paypal charges too much!).
I just want the shopping cart to email me the information (on a secure
server, of course).

Thanks for all your help, I will start investigating some of those links!

Hi Randy,

What many shopping carts do is to email you notification of a sale..while
keeping the credit card information stored in a secure area on the server.
You then need to go to the secured area to retrieve the detailed
information. Even if the area is secured under ssl..email is NOT
secure..which is why credit card numbers should never be emailed. One
possible cart to consider that works well with FrontPage is StoreFront and
that is located here:

candypress!
trust me. I spent tons of money and time till I found this one and now it'd
be a heck of a thing that'd make me use another.

For a free shopping cart which is very smart and has loads of configurable
options and apart from inserting prices etc via links into your page, works
entirely outside of your site. they have been going for quite a while and i
have been using them for some 2-3 years now.

Hope this helps
