Adding a .tif file to a page

Q

QC

I have a 2.66mb 53 page .tif file that I am trying to
insert using FP2003. When I make a link to open the file
I just get the first page using a fax viewer. I also can
not insert the file.

How do I add a .tif file to a page.

Thanks

#1 FP does not like importing files over 1MB, from what I
have heard. I have just copied & pasted in Windows Explorer
while FP closed

#2 I am not sure if TIFF files are viewable in a browser or
if they require a plugin. Best option if this is the case
would be to convert to PDF

You need to change the program that is set to open TIFF files. By
default in WIN XP that will be the fax viewer.
To change it, rightclick any *.tif file in Windows Explorer and select
Open with | Choose program, and then check "Always use this program".
That of course will only have effect on your computer. Your visitors
will see it with whatever program they have set to view TIFF files. A
good part wont have a compatible viewer so I would suggest you drop the
idea of putting a TIFF on your page and use something else.

Jens: I still haven't understood what a 53 page tif is.

A TIFF file can have several "layers" in it that you can go through like
pages.
