Adding a YouTube video

I'm a novice web "designer" and know virtually nothing about html. I'm
working on a site and want to embed a YouTube video so that people can just
click on the picture and have the video run in our site. Can someone walk me
through the steps?

Have you started with YouTube? The problem here is you need to put code
that's specific to your YouTube video into the site. FP doesn't have an
add-on (that I'm aware of) yet to handle this, which is probably good since
the YouTube application programming interface changes a lot. I thought
YouTube used to have a facility to provide the HTML to embed. YouTube does
have information on hot to do this. Visit http://www.youtube.com/sharing and
look for the information on Embedding a video.

Copy the code provided by YouTube for the video you want to embed.
Open FP
File | Open Web/Site (your's on your machine)
Open the page you want to put it on.
In Split view put your cursor where you want the video to appear (do this in
the lower Design window), then look up in the Code pane - you'll see where
to paste the code. You'll be pasting the code in the Code pane NOT Design.

You may have to change the size of the YouTube - if you do you'll do that
within the code YouTube provided BUT remember to keep it the same aspect
ratio as the original .

Save your page then Publish

UTube provides the code to copy and paste on each of its video pages; simply
copy the provided code from the UTube Page, and paste it into the code view
of your page.
