Adding additional quick access bars

P

Pearl

I'm having trouble adding additional quick access bars. I typically have all
the commands I often use that I don't know keyboard shortcuts for on the
toolbars. I do not like the ribbon view, and would at least like to have the
commands I use most handy and organized in a way convenient for me and not as
they are defined by Microsoft to be important.

You can customize the QAT and associatethe customizations with a specific
document or template but there is just on QAT . IOW, there aren't multiple
QATs you can turn on/off.

I didn't like it at first either but after I added my standard commands,
New, Open, Close, Cut, Copy, Paste, Undo, Redo, etc. I create task-specific
templates that have additional commands, for example if I'm working on forms
I'll add form commands to the QAT. I've also grown accustomed to
adding/removing commands as needed while working on various tasks. It's as
simple as right-clicking a command or group from the Ribbon to add it and
right-click the command on the QAT to remove it.
